Edgar Cayce on Earth Changes and 2012 polar shift

No one wants, or needs, to be reminded of Earth changes. Everyday seems to bring a major natural catastrophe somewhere on the planet. In a sense it is discouraging to watch people lose a lifetime of work in a matter of hours yet it is sort of uplifting and humbling at the same time. It is a reminder that as humans we are not the masters of gaia; it is gaia that is our physical creator. We merely project holograms in a vast empty space through some natural rituals of particles and waves colliding together and reflecting fractal dances as memories of themselves until they run out of physical cosmic energy. In some higher order the same cosmic riddle puts a mental data recorder in the whole schematic.

What matters most in the giant cycles that the Brahman's call the Yugas, is that metaphysical sense that we somehow do not have or do not comprehend, or have ceased to understand, or have had genetically removed from us (where are those cosmic coppers when you need them).

Life is eternal; a physical life is a gift of the memory of matter. However deep that is ,it is a realm that the psychics and mediums and the drug addicts and the shamen and the Indigo Children and others seem to have learnt to tap into.

Edgar Cayce, the Sleeping Prophet was amongst these special people who may have passed as a pagan heretic by some religious groups for his rituals which allowed him to enter trances and transcend time. From these self induced waking sleep session Cayce would intuitively tell of things to come. He would talk in his sleep and an associate would record the sessions.

Was Cayce always right in his more than 14000 recorded predictions?

Let's just say he was right often enough to make believers out of most skeptics of a realm beyond the five senses of rationality.

Cayce often mentions the "breaking up of coastlines" or the "sinking and rising" of land masses in his readings.

"Watch New York, Connecticut and the like. Many portions of
the east coast will be disturbed, as well as many portions of the west coast, as well as the central portion of the United States. Los Angeles, San Francisco, most of all these will be among those that will be destroyed before New York, or New York City itself, will in the main disappear. This will be another generation though, here; while the southern portions of Carolina, Georgia, these will disappear. This will be much sooner. The waters of the Great Lakes will empty into the Gulf of Mexico."

A reading such as this latter one is open to interpretation. There can be two ways of looking at the line "This will be much sooner". Is this line pointing forward or backward? If there is a revelation to this prophecy will it be the Great Lakes that will come much sooner or will it be the Carolina, Georgia area that will come sooner?

Nevertheless, the times that Cayce describes seem to be creeping up on humanity. Most of the midwest states along the great Mississipi are swamped by never before seen flooding as i write this. Where is all that water coming from? The great lakes are drying up and the icesheets are melting away yet most of the prophets are telling us that the next great earth change will be through fire.

Cayce was wrong about the dates in some of his predictions, that is certain. The Earth didn't shift in 2001 and the battlefields of 1941 are not yet oceans, and Japan, when i last checked hadn't dissapeared into the sea (turns to CNN just to make sure). Europe didn't change in the twinkling of an eye.

So where is all this calamity that Cayce talks about in his readings?

What is real and evident are the Earthquakes in Japan and China, the tsunamis in the Indian Oceans and the Gulf of Mexico, the record breaking typhoons and hurricanes of this season, the changing behaviour of the Yellowstone volcanic foundation, the disappearance of the bees, and the seperating icesheets of the arctic and antarctic.......ad libitum.

At this point no one needs the Sleeping Prophet to warn us. All that is needed is to look around or touch the intuitive base that Cayce tapped into, and the sense that something just isn't right cannot be denied.

Is this the prelude to a pole shift?

Several Cayce interpreters had put a date of 1998 on that reading. He was wrong about that or maybe the interpreter was wrong on reading the reading.

There are several highly ranked scientific professionals who are breaking away from the mainstream scientific schools that need more emperical data in order to promote such heresy as polar shifts. These reformists are joining ranks with the likes of Cayce and other Prophets many of which point to the Venus transit of 2012 and the end date of the Mayan calendar, 13.0.0.0.0 which is the beginning of a great cycle which again interpreters believe to coincide with the winter solstice of December 21, 2012 which would have been a great spiritual occasion to the mesoamericans if their culture had survived the Spanish conquest and the Christian conversion led by the Franciscan monks.

The evidence is mounting and bringing professionals into the group of believers that there may be more truth to the prophets esp experience. The rational mind meets the mythical mind may be in the making and the architect of time may be redesigning the creation. There are very good arguments that would support polar shift theories.

I imagine that if the day comes when "in the blinking of eye" we experience earth changes beyond the scope of our rational senses then we will have no choice but to know the truth. Prophecy won't matter much on that day. A strong sense of being spiritual and eternal might be more appropriate for such a time.

  1. Informative, beautifully written article. Cayce constantly discussed the role of "vibfration" as energy. Scientists and skeptics may need empirical evidence before they admit something is coming, but they're only in self-denial if they gainsay the impending "vibration" that something major is about to happen. My take is that Cayce was a forerunner on what's happening in Medjugorge, where the Blessed Mother has been making Earthly "appearances" to warn humanity of the "chastisements" that are about to strike all those who lack faith.

  2. Deut.13:1-18 - False Prophets!

A 'true' prophet has to be right 100% or under God's Law he\she would be 'stoned' to death!!

" He used this "knowledge" to predict that California will slide into the ocean and that New York City will be destroyed in some sort of cataclysm. He predicted that in 1958 the U.S. would discover some sort of death ray used on Atlantis.

He made other predictions concerning such things as the Great Depression (that 1933 would be a good year) and the Lindbergh kidnapping (most of it wrong, all of it useless), and that China would be converted to Christianity by 1968."

Cayce was also known for his medical "cures", although these cures were usually no more than a placebo effect (beef broth was one of Cayce's favorite panaceas). The patient was cured, or so they felt, so who were they to question Cayce's prediction of their medical condition or his methods? But there is very little aside from word of mouth to verify any of Cayce's purported healings. There is evidence of the quackery, though. He recommended laetrile for cancer, which is ineffective (and contains cyanide). He recommended things like "bedbug juice" for dropsy, and apple brandy for tuberculosis! For breast cancer his "cure" was placing a freshly dead rabbit pelt on the breast. Tragically, this kind of quackery also contributed to deaths in Cayce's own family (even his son), by seeking out quack cures instead of appealing to modern medicine of the time.

Evaluation: That is just as well; Cayce was an abysmal failure as a prophet and a false prophet by biblical standards.

    Peace,

  3. Anonymous....That is interesting information on the American Psychic Edgar Cayce which came to be known has the Sleeping Prophet.

I agree with you about the definition prophet and what is a true prophet....

Cayce was a seer....i don't know who began calling him a prophet. Whether he was a quack or a genuinely gifted medium is an individual opinion....

Recall that he also died of fatigue after having overworked and stressed himself to death...

Above else do no harm is part of the hypocratic oath.....

Can you honestly say that modern science and the medical professionals who earn money by providing cures and medicines truly adhere to that oath ?

Maybe somewhere between the mythological mystical methods of Edgar Cayce and the dogmatic economically driven methods of the modern scientist there is a just middle in " curing what hails the human ".

Obviously neither side has it right just yet...

Like you say....Cayce is a failed prophet biblical standards.

I personally prefer to look for holistic measures to cure what hails me whenever possible and have lost alot of respect for the commercially driven scientific community.

  4. Dear writer, its here..post Japan Catastrophe, earth's shift, new land found, economic collapse and whats next???

  5. why...so the chili earthquake moved the earth axis a few centimeters...the japan earthquake moves the earth axis another few centimeters...it's going to take a lot more than a few centimeters here and there to produce an entire earth shift of proportional magnitude that would be considered apocalyptic or that would cause the human population to witness a massive change in the polar star position...the economic collapse thing looked like a possibility last week when the yen took a dive on the basket but just as suddenly as it shifted many points it retraced...that in and of itself tells me that the bank of japan is willing to risk much upside to avoid having any portfolio manager control the fall of the yen....what's next you ask.....well if you trade currency thEN WHAT IS NEXT MAY MEAN THAT YOU HAVE TO BE COMPLETELY COVERED OR COMPLETELY OUT OF THE MARKET.....WHAT'S NEXT IS A GUESS ONLY....

  6. Cayce said that his predictions about earth changes may depend on the spiritual attitude of the people. Any change for the better may change the geographical movements. There is interaction between our thoughts and our environment. Actually on a deeper level of consciousness we continually create the physical environment.

  7. Fair points, very well written too.

Of change, housands are scared. How can they not be?
    Tsunamis, Volcanic eruptions, earthquakes.
All signs that something is coming.

I think it's best to be prepared in all cases!

  8. regardless what anyone chooses to believe there is something changing within our universe. It is something I can feel but can't explain. No one would believe me anyway. What will happen when all see what I feel? Think what you will. The truth will be known soon enough. God Bless and keep our children.

  9. The earth or pole shift is magnetic or could be! Even NASA says the bombardment of earth by solar storms (coming soon) could change that component! If you think something isn't happening ,,look around. Native peoples feel it. There are always those who say it couldn't happen. It is happening,, and started quite a while back. So 1998? Who's to say...there is no such thing as time so says Einstein! If you don't want to listen to Cayce,,check out the Hopi's Mayan's Aztec's predictions, philosophy's etc. No~ not doomsday! Big time changes!! And if you don't think 7 billion people on the planet (over-population) instead of a comfortable three billion isn't component think again! We won't even talk about gross mismanagement of natural resources, greed, etc. There are sleepers and Keepers. The sleepers walk around in robotic mode, while the wisdom keepers and native elders are watching everything with a Hawks eye!

  10. true, the earth is changing day by day, one thing is going to happen on dec 21 2012. we will be in alinement with the center of the galaxy. this could cause the poles to swap and disrupt lots of things. it could be bad. science does not lie it cant! every smart person knows that.
